Query should be a four-letter word. I agree with this video. It's so tempting to vent on a blog, but not a good idea. Then again, I hate to think I'm censoring myself just because I'm worried what an agent might think sometime down the line. I suppose there is a balance to be found.
I haven't queried for a very long time, but I'm going to in May... I am very scared, because it's a book beyond classification, so I don't know yet where to send it!

ReplyDeleteI don't think taking the beef with pros public ever looks professional. I think rants (not heads up and bewares) make the writers look diva-ish.
That's one of the reasons we started Daydreamers on Facebook, so we can whine safely!!
