  2. Wasn't expecting you to start vlogging, so this was a real surprise. Good to hear your voice again. ^_^

    I hadn't thought of previous novels as baggage like this, but I see what you mean. The stuff I've tried and failed to make work haunts me, and that's why I keep trying so hard to make variations on the same themes work. And it's really hard to let these things go. >_<

  3. I appreciate your authenticity. It's so human of us to only want to be seen or have our work seen in the best light. Those who truly see us will see our shadow, as well.

  4. You're right--that wasn't the baggage I was expecting, but it makes sense. Sometimes it's so hard to walk away from the things that just aren't working so we drag them around behind us like wheelie bags without wheels.
